ABOUT US

The Multi-Cultural Community Council (MCCC) was created by Yolo County District Attorney Jeff Reisig and former MCCC chairperson Dr. Jesse Ortiz to facilitate conversation between residents and the DA’s department around understanding the criminal justice system and racial, social, and historical inequity in our county.

The Multi-Cultural Community Council is comprised of a diverse group of individuals from throughout Yolo County who volunteer their time and expertise to educate, promote and engage in these tough conversations in order to increase intercultural relationship and understanding.

Our mission is to seek fair and equal justice, ensure open communications, inclusive community participation, and to offer education on the criminal justice system.  In the process, we hope to engender trust and provide transparency that strengthens intercultural connections within our county.
